This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items we're requesting, such as engaging resources, and therapeutic tools, will significantly impact our students' learning by creating an environment that fosters mental well-being and growth. Engaging resources, including books, art supplies, and educational materials, will aid in counseling activities, promoting self-expression and emotional development. Furthermore, the availability of therapeutic tools like fidget toys, SEL books, and mindfulness resources will help students manage emotions and stress, enhancing their ability to focus and learn effectively.
We aim to create an environment that promotes emotional intelligence, resilience, and mental wellness, providing personalized guidance and support to meet each child's unique needs.
What makes our students special is their diversity and individuality. Each child brings a unique perspective, talents, and challenges to the school community. They are resilient, creative, and full of potential, but they may require different forms of support and guidance to navigate their academic and emotional journeys. Our students' uniqueness is what drives our commitment to creating a nurturing and responsive counseling space to cater to their diverse needs and empower them to thrive.
