The Lion King: an Unforgettable Musical Theater Experience

My Project

In this project, I am requesting the costumes our students need for their spring musical production.

We are trying to put this show on with a $0 budget, and really need help to make the dream a reality.

Our 3rd-5th grade cast of The Lion King Kids are working hard and are excited to take the show to the stage. The lion, hyena, warthog, and meerkat outfits will delight both the students and their families when we take the musical to the stage in May. This is a very special opportunity for students coming from low-income, at-risk inner-city backgrounds to make positive artistic contributions to their community. This musical is already helping build the self-esteem and pride of the participants. While often unspoken, The Lion King experience has also helped my students of color connect and be proud of their African heritage. These costumes will put the experience over the top! Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks again for your help with this special production of The Lion King, which will touch the lives of many families this spring.
