Thankfully, I was able to offer each of those students a stim toy, the rubber band, to hold. This made a huge difference immediately. The students sat down and began to listen. For some students, this is the first time they've been able to participate fully in a group activity without feeling left out or overwhelmed.\r\nWhat excites them most is the sense of belonging. They love being part of a team, choosing games that match their abilities, and discovering that they can compete, collaborate, and succeed.
