Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are diverse learners with special needs. In order to create an optimal learning environment, I must cater to their sensitive sensory needs. The lamps will provide the correct lighting in the classroom for them to feel at ease and focus on their studies. They will help to minimize distractions that are caused by sensory overload from the bright lights that are present inside the classroom. The Play-Doh will allow for manipulation of letters and numbers during instruction time in a way that is sensory-friendly for the children.
