Help me give my students the material we need to create an indoor garden space to learn year round. Students would be learning about healthy food choices, agriculture and provide food to our school community.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items we are asking for will help us maintain a year round school garden. Since our school is located in the Chicago Land Area we want to be able to grow our garden inside to provide an education to our students and provide food to our school community.
Our goal for this project is to continue education on healthy food choices, give our students a designated area to clear their minds/relieve stress and to grow our garden big enough to contribute our harvested food to our school community.
Our students have been super excited and eager through our garden creation process. They have been working together as a community to water and maintain what we have now. They are super excited about growing our garden to create a space to achieve this year round.
