My Students

Many of my students are on the Autism spectrum or have other developmental challenges. They also have very unique communication and processing needs. Children on the Autism spectrum process information and learn differently than children without ASD. These students often need differentiation and accommodations to help them be academically and socially successful.

The majority of my students have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and many of them have specific adaptive technology needs, such as alternative seating, manipulatives, pencil grips and more.

My students benefit tremendously from multi-sensory learning and social emotional learning. My students' education has been negatively impacted by the pandemic and it is my personal goal to ensure my students succeed after the effects of the pandemic-impacted learning. I am able to best teach my students when they have all the tools that they need to be successful in all aspects of the classroom.

My Project

Teaching during a pandemic has presented unique challenges for teachers, staff and especially students. My goal is to continue to keep students safe while maintaining proper cleaning practices.

My students deserve to come to school with the knowledge that the school they are in is as prepared as possible in case of a natural disaster or emergency.

I want my students to feel safe knowing that their school is doing everything they can to maintain safety practices.

This project includes survival glow sticks, first aid kits, hand crank flashlights, and many more important survival supplies.
