My Project

These items requested will support for continued development of a classroom library. My students would benefit from a well stock and thoughtfully curated classroom library. This library will offer my students more than access for books, it provides a foundation for life-long learning, literacy development, and a love for reading.

My goal for the new classroom library is to create a literacy rich environment where students are encouraged to explore text that reflects their interest, identities, and experiences.

Beyond academics benefits, classroom libraries also foster independence, curiosity, and empathy. Students will learn to choose books that resonant with them, in order to make connections to different characters.
