it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For my project, I want to create a warm, inviting, and safe space where my students feel welcomed and comfortable every time they walk through the door. This cozy area will serve as a place where they can relax, share their thoughts, and engage in meaningful conversations without fear of judgment. I want this space to be a retreat from the stresses of the day, where students can feel supported emotionally, socially, and even academically. To enhance the experience, I plan to provide comfortable seating, soft lighting, and thoughtful decor to make the space feel like a home away from home. Additionally, I want to offer small snacks, not only to ensure students have something to eat but also as a way to foster a sense of care and community. By creating this nurturing environment, I hope to encourage open discussions, build stronger relationships, and give my students a place where they truly feel valued and heard.
