The Healthy Side of Culinary

Help me give my students the best chance of creating an enriching, wholesome classroom, that encourages creativity, and wonder. The table would be beyond helpful in culinary, health and medical, all 3 classes I will be teaching.

My Project

My students love to snack and eat! Being in high school requires a lot of good food and healthy beverages. Balancing so many activities for example; classes, sports, events, projects, not to mention social responsibilities, like prom, student council, fundraising, holidays, etc. etc. requires a ton of calories. What better snack than a fruit smoothie for example.

A shiny new stainless steel prep table(culinary is currently lacking at this time this fundamental item) would not only exude how clean things should look before and after cooking, but provide a 'canvas' if you will, of blending, mixing, and concocting delicious and nutritious foods grown from the school farm and island we all cherish together, also known as the Aina.

Projects such as making candied fruits (for example coconut, tangerine, orange, juava, mt apple, banana, papaya, pineapple,orange, tangelo, etc), green smoothies (with green leaf veggies from the school farm/garden), and dehydrated fruits as mentioned above, and other healthy and delicious snack/meal alternatives, could be easily expedited on a stainless steel table.

These wholesome treats can make a HUGE difference in how kids perform in school, verses drinking soda, eating dry ramen, bags of gummy bears, and other overly processed and artificial so called snacks.

What makes my students extremely special is that many have been raised their whole lives eating healthy fruits from the island and naturally craving them, apple bananas are the most popular! Not to mention the bounty from the oceans and mountains, hence our school motto,
