The Happiness Project: Classroom Rewards

My students need a variety of incentives such as bookmarks, scented erasers, raffle tickets, emoji keychains, felt tip pens, erasers, and Slinkies to reward good behavior.

My Students

I am a National Board certified teacher in Literacy. I work at a Title I elementary school. Many of my students come from military families due to our location near several bases. Our school is diverse with learning styles, cultures, and interests. My students are hardworking, creative, critical thinkers. My students are future artists, inventors, authors, and natural leaders. Success is at their fingertips and I know that with the right learning environment, I will nurture each and every one of them.

My Project

My students need a variety of classroom reward incentives to earn for positive behavior. This includes emoji bookmarks, felt tip markers, scented erasers, and Slinkies. I am requesting a variety of incentives, bookmarks, and rewards to add to our reward chest. Each time my students show empathy and understanding of students in our classroom they will be acknowledged for their compassion. Have You Filled a Bucket Today will be used as a springboard to our discussion about expressing daily kindness, compassion, and love. Students will recognize their peers who are demonstrating compassion and empathy and they will be rewarded for their kind gestures or helping hands.
