This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a teacher in an Equity Focus School, I strive to build a classroom environment where all students feel excited, welcomed, and proud to learn. This year, I’m creating a fully Disney-inspired space, centered on the theme, “The Happiest Classroom on Earth.” With your help, I’ll turn our room into a vibrant, joyful environment where every student feels like they belong.

This project includes a complete classroom makeover using Mickey Mouse-themed borders, bulletin boards, motivational stickers, and cutouts.

These decorations will help organize our learning spaces, define clear classroom expectations, and reinforce positive behavior. More importantly, they’ll spark joy and wonder in my students, many of whom face challenges outside the classroom.

From the moment students step through our door and see a bold “Welcome!” from Mickey himself, they’ll know this is a place where their ideas, voices, and dreams matter. The messages on the bulletin boards will remind them to be kind, be confident, and be themselves, the foundation of both social-emotional growth and academic success.
