My Students
We desperately need a classroom rug that inspires learning, not hesitation and reluctance. Being a former student at Vintage Magnet, I'm pretty sure that rug was used in my time. Yikes, it needs to be replaced!
My class is comprised of an amazing group of individuals.
They are a group of smart young minds who try hard and aim to succeed. These 7 and 8 year -olds require frequent transitions between their seats and the rug throughout the day. Like all second graders, they enjoy a variety of activities at the rug, including reading, art, music, dance, math games, science explorations, role-playing, and team-building lessons. This dynamic group deserves an appropriate rug setting to stimulate their minds and bodies.
My Project
I'm requesting a new 9 foot by 12 foot classroom rug for individual and cooperative learning. The rug I've selected has a "Colors of Nature" theme, featuring a giant tree with large leaves that provide individual student seating. This design is helpful in the organization of student spacing and seating. Also, the nature theme is a perfect fit with my horticultural background and passion.
The students come to the rug at least three times a day for various learning activities. The rug is a uniquely intimate setting for the teacher and students to engage in instruction.
Your support will provide a wealth of opportunities for the children in Room 21.
A bright, new, clean, attractive rug will inspire children to interact in a wide spectrum of activities. This alluring setting will encourage mental, psychomotor, dramatic, visual, and hands-on learning. Please help contribute to such an essential aspect of daily classroom instruction.
