Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our preschool playground is small and usually shared between two classrooms. I would like to be able to provide materials for my students to use outside. The more they have to keep busy the fewer behavioral problems we'll have outside. While some students play on the playground equipment others can draw with chalk, do some gardening with the metal buckets, play darts, and even play basketball. As we start seeing good behaviors go up, we can incentivize those behaviors with the treasure prizes so that more and more students do them. My students will be grateful and excited for the new materials especially as the days get warmer and we can be outdoors more.
