The Great Debates

My students need three collapsible podiums for our in school debates and debate club.

My Students

I have a very diverse student body consisting of Caucasian, South Asian, East Asian, Middle Eastern, and African American students. I also have English Language learners as well as some students who were refugees. All of my students make my school a diverse and exciting place for learning. My students are engaged young people, who are both naturally inquisitive and highly intelligent. They motivate me on a daily basis to do my best for them and are far deserving of any support.

My Project

My students need these podiums as a station to have whole class debates about historical topics. The debates are exciting and engaging to the students and are a great way to hear students voices who might not speak up in class. We also have a debate club in which students would use the podiums as stations to discuss topics of the day in debate format. We are attempting to use good reliable evidence to support our ideas in theses debates. The podiums help us get situated and allow for some security when attempting public speaking like this for the first time.
