My Students
I teach fifth grade reading in one of the best rural schools in Oklahoma! My students are a diverse group with varied levels of learning. Our classroom is a space where students enjoy coming to learn. We are a Title I school with the majority of our students receiving free lunches.
These students have huge hearts and love to learn in non-traditional ways such as room transformations, integrating the arts into our lessons, and project-based learning.
My students have curiosity, creativity, compassion, and positive attitudes. They are truly amazing people. My school is wonderfully supportive of the active hands-on learning that we do in our classroom. I couldn't ask for a better environment for these students. We are truly a community!
My Project
We are excited to take part in a fantastic learning experience! How amazing it will be to be able to share the experience of watching the solar eclipse together with classmates!
My students need these glasses to protect their eyes as they view the eclipse from our playground.
We have chosen NASA approved glasses to ensure safety. We will follow up with a writing and craft activity, and we will use the color ink to help us print our creative endeavors! We will share our work for others to enjoy, using the hooks to help display our projects. I'm excited for my students to share in this together!
