Our kindergarten students are very active, hands-on learners. A trip to the theater would be a wonderful way to make learning come to life for our students. They would be able to explore multicultural learning content in a memorable and lasting way.
Our school is a Title I school, where the majority of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch.
.
Many of our students have not been to the theater before, so this would be a field trip unlike any other! We have already been approved for a grant to help us with half of the field trip costs. This project will cover the other half of the admission costs and bus transportation. Our students are very hands-on, experience-based learners, so this trip would be a great learning opportunity! We are trying to provide a safe, rich experience-based learning environment for my students.
My Project
Our students love science and STEM activities. This trip will give us the opportunity to visit the North Shore Music Theatre to see the show Curious George and the Golden Meatball. Our students are always ready for a new adventure and we want to expose them to everything we possibly can. We thought it was only fitting to take our students to see a live theatre performance. For many, this will be the first time they see a stage production; but hopefully, it is not their last!
Field trips provide students with a window into the real world which they do not see in the classroom.
Field trips are beneficial to students because they allow students to see how learning is applied in the real world. Please consider donating to this project. We promise you won't regret it!
