My students need a Microsoft Surface 3, type cover keyboard, and mouse to learn about financial literacy through money software. The Armor Case will protect the tablet.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a group of third grade students who are highly enthusiastic and eager to learn something new every single day! My students always try their best at everything and anything despite the challenges that they face in their daily lives.
My students live in an impoverished area of South Los Angeles.
All of my students come from low-income families. We are a Title I school where one hundred percent of our students receive free meals. As a Title 1 school we have limited supplies, limited resources, and very low on the technology scale.
My Project
I envision my students learning about financial literacy through lessons and activities that can be enhanced through the use of a Microsoft Surface Pro 3. The type cover keyboard will aid my students when looking for research and typing their writing assignments. The mouse will help students mobilize and accurately press on items versus using their finger which inaccurately presses other items on the screen. The Armor Guard Case will protect the table since it will be used by all students.
These technology tools will enhance my students ability to understand how money works in the world through educational websites and apps. I would love to provide my students with the opportunity to do group research and projects so that they can learn how to earn money, manage it well, and make smart investments when they grow up. With your help, we can provide my students with the set of skills and knowledge that allows an individual to make effective choices with their financial resources.
Having a Microsoft Surface Pro 3, with a type cover keyboard, mobile mouse, and protective case in our classroom will help make learning financial literacy fun, but most importantly it will bring the numbers to life with the use of money.
This project is very important because it will prepare my students for the future, they will be provided with the opportunity of becoming adults that are financially responsible. Thank you for your help and support.
