My Project
My students use red pens every day. Part of effectively learning math skills is to practice every single day and to frequently assess knowledge of what was learned. Thus, I give my students a one question warmup quiz every day. I emphasize that they fix their mistakes with red pen so that they can make note of what they have gotten wrong.
My students know that in order to become successful scholars they need to be organized.
At the beginning of the school year, I emphasized this and many of my students are now putting in a lot of effort to ensure that their math notebooks are organized. Having glue sticks for each student is instrumental to this happening. I print out handouts for my students almost every day and they glue them into their notebooks on different pages. I have them create a table of contents in their notebooks and they are able to easily flip through the pages to remember concepts we learned!
Whiteboard markers and the sheet protector whiteboards help students get additional practice. This supplements whatever notes we take during the lessons I give. Students are very eager to participate in whiteboard activities and having the sheet protectors makes it convenient for me to print out different handouts that they can practice math skills on.
All of these materials will be used frequently, and both students and I will be so grateful for your donation. My students are so enthusiastic and love to learn—I want to ensure that they have a successful rest of the semester with all of the materials that contribute to their journey as math scholars.
