This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I will use the class set of novels with two classes of 6th graders. We will use it to practice our literature analysis skills, reading comprehension, and response to literature expository writing.
We will practice vocabulary, analyze characters, plot, and setting to support our inferences.
We will look at theme and practice using textual evidence to support our expository writing.
I have used this novel in the past, and students love the plot twists and the different characters. The main character is the same age as my students and they love that!
