This project is fully funded

I have never seen any group of students work as hard as my 3/4 graders. Not only do they live in an urban environment, but most of them are second language learners who have only been in this country for 2 or 3 years.

Subjects like Language Arts and Social Studies are twice as challenging for my kids because of the language barrier. Dictionaries and thesauruses have become daily resources for my class in every subject. As a first year teacher, I had to reuse the school's dictionary set that is literally from the 1920s!

These ancient and irrelevant dictionaries don't cater to my students' needs as English Learners. The new resources will help my students excel in reading and writing in all subject areas. It will be easier for them to use and understand because these resources provide certain features to help children who are English Learners.

This is a donation beyond dictionaries and thesauruses, this is the gift of words. Your help will empower my students to speak and write with confidence!
