This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have the pleasure of being an intervention specialist this year. I service students in the first through the fourth grades, helping the students fill in their previous learning gaps so that they can be successful from this school year forward.
Helping individual children know success is my ultimate goal.
These students come from very diverse backgrounds. They live in a suburban area that is about 30 miles outside of Atlanta. Most of the students are economically disadvantaged and therefore, receive free lunch.
My Project
Individualizing learning often requires the use of technology. Students need to be able to hear the technology in a way that doesn't disturb other students.
Headphones will help us achieve this goal.
The headphones will be used to help the students to hear their computers better when working towards their individualized goals. These headphones will allow us to run independent groups with technology, while simultaneously meeting the needs of other students in small groups with the teacher. Utilizing our technology effectively is paramount to the success of our students. Please help us to give our fourth graders the gift of sound.
