My students are eager and ready to learn on a daily basis. They come in every morning ready to work and make me proud. I can see in their faces how much they want to learn and do well, and I want to be able to help each of them achieve these goals.
My class consists of English Language Learners and students with learning disabilities.
Although they are not functioning on a third grade level, they are hard workers. Parents in the community work hard with their children and like all parents want them to do their best. Some parents just need more support to get their kids to where they should be.
My Project
I am requesting books and activities on my student's academic levels. Imagine being in a classroom with limited amounts of books that you could actually read. I want my students to stop feeling frustrated by the books in our library and start feeling excited. A good reader needs books that he/she can read in order to fall in love with books forever. Which is what I want to create, life long readers.

You can be what creates a love for books, by giving them books meant for them. You will be allowing me to give them books that they will not only enjoy but that they can read. In reality you will be giving them confidence in their abilities.
