This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

After teaching ESL abroad for the past 7 years, immigrating to the United States, and graduating with a California teaching credential, I am *finally* ready to welcome my first class of 25 students on American soil!

Take a peek inside our 4 walls and you will find the most richly diverse space where students are speaking multiple languages with multiple abilities across many races and ethnicities - all sharing one common goal - the pursuit of knowledge.

Our school is a K-5, Title I, public school, with a population of over 900 students with our entire school qualifying for the free breakfast and lunch program in a rural setting. With full bellies and eager minds, the students are ready to learn, engage, play, and grow. I am reaching out to all of you for help to ensure we have the right tools and supplies to have a successful year!

My Project

If my project gets fully funded this will help create an organized working environment for the students (and me). Our school district only provides a pencil sharpener and I have been accumulating pens, markers, erasers, and other tools we need but buying the holders/organizers for everything is getting expensive. Please help our class organize our materials.

Organization is key for students to be able to utilize materials effectively and increase productivity in the classroom.

Organization is a transferable skill both inside and outside the classroom and I need to set a good example for my students.
