This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My kindergarten students are enthusiastic to learn and have many wishes to come true for the holidays. For the Thanksgiving time they are thankful for their, pets, families, classmates, and their teacher. For the winter holiday they wish for toys and school supplies.
During the winter time, I wish for my students to receive gifts to keep them motivated while learning with fun educational games and materials.
I would like to provide opportunities for them to engage with additional reading, writing, and math tasks in a playful way. Most of my students have basic school tools. They are in need of fun educational supplies to engage and motivate them to further their learning.
My Project
Young students are in need of hands-on materials for daily learning of reading, writing, and math. My kindergarteners are at home during remote learning. They will have an advantage if they are able to get a math counting toy to improve their counting skills that will help them prepare for addition and subtraction concepts.
Along with the need of counting through games, my students also need materials that will engage them during our reading and writing time online.
They will practice their skills using a primary writing journal and whiteboard with reading flashcard puzzle words and sentences for writing everyday.
