My Project

My name is Natalie Sangalli, and I teach at a Title I high school where I have the privilege of leading 5 cooking classes. I strive to teach my students more than just cooking; I aim to create a nurturing environment where they can learn essential life skills.

Many of my students do not regularly sit down to eat with their families, which is why I have implemented a no cell phone policy at the tables during meals.

I believe learning basic etiquette is crucial for their development. To facilitate conversations during these meals, I have found that using conversation cards is an effective method to help them generate ideas and engage with their peers.
