This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need ample practice to reach proficiency in math facts. They need to remember the addition and subtraction facts. They need to remember their multiplication and division facts. They need to remember their fraction facts. They need to remember their decimal facts. These games will absolutely provide them with the skills to practice and build muscle memory while engaging in these fun activities.
The many selected games will help them accomplish this through practice, fun, and engagement with their classmates.
These engaging activities will lead to a love for math and its aligned complexities and patterns that are found in the many different functions of math.
As a math teacher, I want to impart my love of math to my students however it can be challenging as I have to constantly reteach math facts. I am really hoping that these materials will allow my students to build this required automaticity. The goals are to increase math fact fluency so they can advance and become proficient in math classes and testing.
