Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My educational philosophy has always been that children will learn to gain confidence in themselves in my classroom. Whether they build their confidence by singing, playing an instrument, or acting in a musical on stage - they have those opportunities.

The reality of our future is that children are being thrust into a digital community of musicians becoming famous on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Spotify.

If my students don't learn the tools to keep up with the changing dynamics of music production, they will be limited in their future choices.

Teaching a child as young as second grade the basics of sound engineering could open an entire world of possibilities to them that they never thought existed. The reality, though, is that my school simply can't afford to supply students with headphones and microphones every year. I plan to keep these items safe, organized, and clean to be available for all children in my classroom.
