My Students

My students are truly a melting pot of cultures, levels, economic status, and languages. They all have different needs, that as a teacher, I am required to meet. On occasion I provide basic needs, like clothing, school supplies, and food. Many require extra academic support as well. Some students require language support for their parents and family members, tutoring, and materials for home use to extend learning at home.

A lot of our students have families working multiple jobs, and don't have the luxury of always being able to support what is happening in the classroom.

This makes my job even more important because I really have to support the students and impact them in a positive way while they are with me for the year.

My Project

Students take tests, read stories, practice math, and do research on iPads. They are easy to use tools, that make learning interactive and fun for the children. We use them in centers and for projects too. They are great for camera use and video use.

Students learn how to be responsible on technology, how to share, time management, and 21st century skills!

The students love to use them and they are easy to carry around, take outside, and are great for the classroom!

Many students come to school and this is where they get technology exposure, so it is essential for us to provide the newest technology so that they may be prepared for their future!
