it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This donation request is targeted at improving the "STEAM" Art & Technology Tools for a Title-One Elementary School where I teach. We focus on Art & Life skills through creativity, teamwork and technology. We have a classroom climate where children develop their leadership skills, pursue their goals and learn to succeed within the education system and in their life/career choices beyond school. Our students come from multiple backgrounds and they are eager to learn and want to apply their knowledge in future careers, especially in technology fields. We believe our school should be an environment where all students can learn with fair treatment to all. We want students to know that we care about their future.
My Project
We are looking at covering the bases with regard to 3D Printing at our school - even at a beginner level. Last year we obtained a resin printer, and this year we want to expand our 3D printing experience with a filament printer.
We see 3D printing as part of our nation's future in many levels of commerce and infrastructure, and providing these tools at a young age gets our students ready for their future careers.
We will use this tool to combine student fascination in both science and art!
