I teach art at 2 elementary schools where we instill in our students that they can believe in themselves, achieve their goals and learn to succeed within the education system and in their life/career choices beyond school. I believe the art room should be an environment where all students can learn with fair treatment to all. Together with the classroom teachers, we strive to help students foster self-control and personal accountability - along with their creativity. At the core of proper behavior and conduct is the issue of respect. We want students to know that we care about each of them.
