Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students from California are an amazing group of students. They are so creative, caring, and inquisitive. They enjoy every subject but are most interested in literature and science. My students enjoy hands-on activities and enjoy the opportunity to make their ideas come alive. These students are bilingual, they have been receiving education in both Spanish and English since Kindergarten. They understand and are proud of their bilingualism!

My Project

I hope these materials inspire my students in pursuing careers in STEM. This group already loves hands-on activities and I believe that these materials would be not only enjoyable but also a great learning opportunity during centers time. During center time, my students work on activities in their groups. With the help of prospective donors, my students will use these STEM materials as a center activity. In fifth grade, students are on their way to middle school where they will have many collaborating assignments and these materials will help my students work together and facilitate collaboration.
