Help me give my students a haul of electronics and devices that encourage the use of the five senses as well as a plethora of art and crafting materials that encourage self-expression.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a small, cozy neighborhood elementary school in Virginia. The children in my building are lively and great kids. They appreciate and evolve from positive but firm motivation and are very bright when focused and interested. We were named a National Blue Ribbon School in 2006. Our school was renamed in June of 2018.

I love teaching grades Pre-K through first because kids at these stages are so enthusiastic and happy to learn!

I feed off of their enthusiasm, and it makes me want to provide them with even more innovative learning experiences!

My Project

The world is surviving and everyone is weary from it.

The little ones are resilient but they are surviving, as well.

Furthermore, they need outlets and ways in which to express what they are feeling and thinking; they need to understand all that is going on while still learning what they have to in order to get on grade level...

I am asking for a huge haul of art supplies, SEL devices, and basics that calm and provoke self-expression. Items such as sensory paint/beads/dough, scratch art paper, Playdoh, fidget poppers, cotton balls, planetarium projector, and glitter pens allow my kids to use their five senses while learning and demonstrating an understanding of concepts. Items like electric stapler, batteries, laser pointer, glue sticks, and wireless outlets help ME to PREPARE lessons that involve all of these arts and sensory essentials.

I cannot wait to do more hands-on instruction with my kids using these products!
