Our classroom is a very diverse preschool classroom. We have students that range in age from 3-5 years old of all academic levels. My students face many challenges inside and outside of the classroom, but we are here to minimize the academic gap they are facing. We are here to create a positive school going experience where my students are encouraged to explore themselves.
My students are eager to learn and explore all aspects of life.
I want to open as many doors for them as possible and give them the brightest future that they all deserve.
My Project
What are the early signs of success in school? The ability to read and write. My preschool students need tools to help them strengthen their muscles in their hands to improve their fine motor skills. With the increase exposure to tablets, computers and televisions, we see our students pencil and crayon grips falling behind what they should be.
These tools in this project will give multiple different ways to help strengthen my students fine motor abilities.
Play dough is a fun way for students to build this muscles in their hands, without them realizing what they are doing. White board markers make writing and drawing fun for students. And what child doesn’t love dinosaurs? All of these tools will make building those muscles fun for our students.
