it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our 8th grade students are just a few short months away from entering high school and we want to send them off with confidence, curiosity, and a love for science that lasts a lifetime. To do that, we need your help.
With the right supplies, we can transform our classroom into a mini science lab where students don’t just read about concepts they see them, touch them, and experience them in real time.
Each item on our list will open the door to exciting, hands-on experiments that students will remember long after the lesson ends.
With dialysis tubing, students will witness osmosis and diffusion in action watching molecules move just like they do in living cells. Lugol’s iodine and Bromothymol Blue offer dramatic color changes that turn simple chemistry into magic, sparking awe and understanding.
Our nutrient and R-2A agar will let students grow and study bacteria, while starch powder helps test enzyme reactions, encouraging careful observation and critical thinking. The mini centrifuge and test tubes let them feel like real lab scientists as they separate cell components, just like professionals in biotech labs.
Microscopes come to life with prepared slides, and Petri dishes make microbiology experiments exciting and visual. With tools like a cork borer set, students can explore plant cells and tissue diffusion like never before.
