Help me give my students a well rounded classroom experience with materials that promote creativity, collaborative play, and engagement with each other.
This project will help me give my students materials that will help them with many different things. The wobble stools will help these busy first graders do two things at once: move their body and be able to focus. In my own experience, I have seen wobble stools work in these ways in my classroom. Students are always busy and it can be hard to stop moving to focus on learning.
The wobble stools help this, because they offer a balance between movement and sit-still work.
The markers and classroom objects will help give my students meaningful materials to complete centers, art projects, and writing. My hope in using different kinds of markers during centers could help keep things new and exciting, thus keeping students focused and engaged but also happy to work! The math manipulative will help my early learnings master the one-to-one connection that is the very building block of math and addition. Additionally, I selected some STEM toys to add to our STEM collection because my students love doing STEM activities and engaging with each other through play.
