My Project

Our students who receive special education services are ready to make the jump from the classroom to the real world by starting a school store. Please help with the needed seed money to make some of our start-up purchases. They have researched startup costs and merchandising. They have sought out community partners to assist with the renovation of the physical space and have been granted support from a local lumber store.

Your donation will help provide the crucial initial supplies necessary to launch The Eagle’s Perch our new school store.

The Eagles Perch will serve students in grades 7-12. Opportunities will be provided for our students to learn both pre-vocational and vocational skills to prepare them for careers and tackle 21st-century challenges. Our students will learn about the “front end” of a store through sales, making foods and beverages, and cashier duties. The freezer, microwave, water cooler, and coffee maker will all go towards the sales end of our store. The freezer will store our frozen foods. The microwave will aid our students with cooking and reheating foods they will sell. The water cooler and coffee maker are also necessary start-up items needed to make on-demand beverages to sell. They will also engage in the “back office” side of the business of communicating with vendors, seeking out competitive pricing, and stocking and restocking.
