The Curiosity Crew

Help me give my students interactive learning games and activities, from phonics activities such as the pop and match game set to STEM activities like the Treehouse builders.

My Project

The library is a place where kids can come to explore the world around them through reading. There are many ways to do this, and these items will help facilitate it. For instance, I love using a globe to show students where in the world our story originates. The puppet theater is excellent for developing story retelling and role-playing skills, which also promote empathy. All of the STEM supplies (such as pipe cleaners and building toys) help them learn how the world works in a hands-on way. Then, with the reading and phonics activities, I can help encourage the skills they are learning in their classrooms that build their confidence in reading.

Honestly, I believe kids are naturally curious about the world around them; they need to be given tools and opportunities to explore and develop that curiosity.

With all of these items, I plan to tell them stories from around the world and have activities that supplement those stories in a way that will boost the students' creative learning. Thank you for your support in the library at our elementary school!
