This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

When students show excitement about something, I want to support that by teaching them a new skill that's meaningful to them. My class is enthused about learning cursive and I believe it would be valuable to teach and support their interest.

My school is a Title 1 school.

We are made up of many English Language Learners. We need all the help we can get with language, reading, and writing. They are highly motivated and hardworking kids. Our school has a reading intervention program to support kids that are not reading at grade level. It is all about the kids at this school.

My Project

My students will use the Handwriting Without Tears workbooks on a daily basis where they will practice cursive skills. We will do mini lessons each day following the teacher's guide to teach cursive skills. They will be able to sign their name and write letters in cursive empowering them with a valuable skill in life.

This donation will support my students' wants and needs.

This is a request by them. I am just the messenger. They want to learn Cursive. This donation will show that they are heard and we support them.
