My Project
What makes my students special is their enthusiasm for storytelling and their ability to relate to the characters in Dog Man in a very personal way. They love humor and enjoy stories that allow them to see themselves in the characters’ challenges and triumphs. Many of my students come from environments where access to books is limited, so having a this set of Dog Man books would give them the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in a story that excites them. Also, this set of Dogman books will actually place books in my students’ hands, instead of reading them on their Chromebook, or listening to them on YouTube.
This set of Dog Man books will significantly impact my students' learning by providing consistent access to a high-quality series that promotes literacy in an engaging and accessible way.
These books are specifically designed for my young readers, with a comic-book format that blends text and illustrations in a way that will keep my students excited and engaged.
My students also need these Dogman books because they will support a wide range of learning objectives, from building vocabulary and comprehension skills to improving reading fluency. Having this set will allow my students to follow the stories from beginning to end, helping them develop the ability to track character development, plot progression, and sequencing. They will also encourage independent reading, which is essential for second graders who are becoming more confident in their reading skills.
Lastly, the Dogman plushie set will allow my students to have a companion while they are reading. They will comfort my students who may have anxiety and give them confidence as they read these Dogman books.
