Help me give my students the future, I want to introduce my students to technologies like VR. I am a special education teacher and I need my students to know they are unique especially because they are different.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love that despite challenges, my students are willing to learn. My students have respective learning needs, but likewise, strengths, talents, interests, and personalities. Most come from modest socioeconomic backgrounds and experience disadvantages, but still, they are willing to grow as learners and be active participants in their school environment.
My students come to school openminded, with the desire to have meaningful learning experiences.
Despite their disabilities and learning and/or behavior challenges; this makes them resilient and special. A Virtual Reality headset can help them further their academics, interests, and social skills. First, VR lessons will include virtual trips that correlate with curricula. For example, VR trips to landmarks or heritage sites discussed in social studies, and landforms or the Solar System discussed in science.
Virtual Reality provides a more meaningful medium to explain content in textbooks, which students with learning differences may not otherwise access independently. VR is used to promote and teach positive and appropriate behaviors by creating custom-made virtual scenarios and games to help students’ social skills. For example, students identify a conflict, respond, and resolve conflicts in a manner that is appropriate/effective. Last, VR is becoming a realistic career avenue; I would like to introduce this technology to my students.
The world of virtual reality allows students to experience a new dimension of innovation, and potential interests for future careers. To whomever this may concern my students extend an e-thank you. Goodbye for now, see you in the future.
