Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our 4th-grade scholars have the EPIC opportunity to live in one of the only states with a separate State holiday from the National holiday, yet they don't know that! They just think YAY! OFF DAY! Scientists are always critically thinking. MATH is a part of LIFE whether in school or not. Financial literacy is very important to have BEFORE having the means to purchase for wise financial management.

Nevada Day STEM materials allow students on break to become scholars on break (being experts in various Nevada trivia including mathematics, graphing, the business of Nevada, map skills, economics, state culture, population growth, and understanding the long-lasting impact of events.)

These materials will be used to present Nevada day information before the break; give a short packet of edutaining activities during the break; and be used afterward for Math, Science, and Social Studies assignments and review.

The gift card is more than the amount of Nevada Day material, therefore it will be utilized for any other school-approved supplementary material on Teachers Pay Teachers. This means, if in the 2nd semester (January-May) the 4th grade would like to purchase something from TPT, we will submit the request during a PLC meeting. The request must share the importance, standard alignment, and inadequateness of curriculum-base resources already paid.

All teachers & TA will vote and if apporved, it will be purchased.
