My Project
One of the primary goals in our freshman music theory class is to help vocalists learn to read an analyze music. Every Friday we practice our sight-singing skills, leaning in to understanding how key signatures affect the music, and working on our pitch accuracy. We use our bodies and our voices to work through the challenges we find and try and find our mistakes.
Boomwhackers take the lesson from internal to external, creating a hands-on learning experience for students to explore and train their ears to hear melodic patterns.
So often we think of younger students as the ones who benefit from activities and accessories such as these, and your donation to our classroom will help our ninth graders explore in ways that bring joy and excitement. I won't be surprised if these Boomwhackers make it into the hands of our upper classman as well.
