This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have recently started book clubs and they are going so well! The kids can't wait to get together and read.
The kids love reading with other students in small groups, they take turns reading and then discussing what has been read.
The conversations are amazing!! I would like to build on our collection with two more great titles.
Also, I would like to add some comfortable seating for the floor, which would be used in these reading groups. This would allow them to get together and read just about anywhere in the school.
Book clubs are a great way to get kids reading chapter books from start to finish and to develop a real love for reading!!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
