Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Gage Middle School students are curious, innovative, and eager to make their voices heard. They are ready for challenges that inspire and encourage them to delve deeper into real-world issues, and it is critical to support their development in becoming confident, well-rounded individuals by providing them with meaningful learning opportunities.

These wonderful students have great aspirations and are in the process of developing their own vision for a meaningful role in our world.

My Project

Developing a collection of reading books that is inclusive and representative of the various backgrounds and cultures is critical for our students. Appreciating our unique selves and respecting differences is necessary to thrive in an ever-changing society. Providing access to books that reflect different perspectives and experiences is one way to support this kind of personal growth.

These books will help me create vibrant interactive displays in our school library to celebrate diversity and encourage student exploration.

Promoting these books with lively book talks and eliciting student input through book reviews and the sharing of ideas about the central messages in these stories will bind us regardless of how different we are.
