My Project

Hello!

I teach English Language Arts in a small K-12 school in a tiny rural Alaskan village reachable only by plane.

There aren’t any places here to get books of outside the school and I am determined to provide a variety of reading books at many different levels in order to get my students interested in reading. I am hopeful that they will find something they love and actually borrow them to read outside the mandated weekly independent reading I have built into my instruction. They have shown interest in these types of books before and I want to build on that interest. I am hopeful that, with your help, we can help them read more than just social media.
