This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

The Wild Robot, by Peter Brown, is the chosen library read aloud book for the third graders this fall! The Wild Robot is the first book in a series of three, and tells the heartwarming and action-packed story of a robot who finds herself shipwrecked on an island. Adaptation, survival, and the intersection of nature and technology are the main themes of this literary journey, along with the timeless message of ‘family.’ Author Peter Brown reminds us that families may have members who do not look like each other and may not even be of the same species, but that does not matter. Love, loyalty, and caring are the important things.
This fall, The Wild Robot will be released by Dreamworks as an animated movie.
I am excited for our students to not only read, but be captivated by this sweet sci-fi story before it is released in theaters!
