Children love being read to! A carpet such as this, will allow my students to gather in a comfortable and organized manner for read aloud time. Having their own space will encourage them to stay focused and engaged in learning. Students will have the security of knowing where “their” place is to sit. It will help save time and eliminate confusion, which will give us more time to read and share discoveries with each other. We will also use this area for our agenda board time and for practicing independent reading. All of the students at our school will have the opportunity to use this special carpet and I guarantee that some of their favorite memories from elementary school will be made in this area... reading!
