My Project

In our first-grade classroom, we are working hard to build not only strong readers and mathematicians but also kind, empathetic, and emotionally aware individuals. Social-emotional learning (SEL) books help young children understand their feelings, develop empathy, resolve conflicts peacefully, and build positive relationships. Many of my students are still learning how to express themselves and navigate the challenges of friendship, frustration, and big emotions. With your support, I hope to create a library of SEL books that will serve as powerful tools during class discussions, morning meetings, and quiet reading times. These stories can make a lasting impact by helping students grow into thoughtful, confident, and caring people.
