The Big Picture

My students need a document camera and overhead projector to be able to see the small teaching materials or small print in documents when teaching in large group.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My transitional kindergarten students are always incredibly enthusiastic about learning. Their attention span is very short and there are so many readiness skills that they must learn before they go onto kindergarten.

My transitional kindergarten class consists of the younger kindergarten students.

My school is located in a low socio economic area. The school does not have the budget to provide my students with new technology. My school has limited resources that need to shared between classrooms. Along with that, my class does not even have the ability to share some of these resources since they had already been shared by so many classrooms.

My Project

My students need to see in a big picture what I am teaching. Many times I hear, "Teacher! I cant see!" and they sit over each other to get the best view. Teaching materials or the print on documents are sometimes too small for students to see from far away. Most times, I can only wish that the students in the back of the rug or room were able to see as well as the kids closer to me. I'm sure that the students will also be more attracted to what I teach if they see it on a big screen. Having a document reader and overhead projector just for our class will made a great teaching resource in the classroom. With the protective case the projector will be properly stored and protected for many years of use. We also need a protector case for a previously donated ipad, as I want the children to feel comfortable using the ipad and not in danger of making any damage to it.

Please help support this project that will help my students see things in a bigger picture.

It will definitely make things easier for all. If my students are able to see, it will be easier to understand directions. Students will be able to control their own set of manipulatives or follow up directions with more ease on an assignment.
