Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The classroom rug would be used by students throughout the day. This would be a clean, comfortable, and welcoming space for students to read, work in groups or independently, and to sit while participating in lessons.

The flexible seating would be used so that students could move around the room to complete their work.

This would be great for students to get out of their seats. We currently do not have any flexible seating options.

The books would be used to build a second grade library. I’ve been collecting books but do not have too many for my library. I would like to continue building our library with a variety of books.

Lastly, the snacks would be great to have in our classroom for those students who do not bring a snack to school. I believe that students do their best when they feel their best and that includes having full bellies!
